This is a serious and growing problem, and not one to be underestimated. Since the internet is fast becoming an extension of the playground in terms of social dynamics amongst schoolchildren, the classroom is definately the right place to start proactive, and even pre-emptive awareness courses to try and minimise occurrences of cyber-bullying, and the potentially harmful effects if occurrences do arise. Over the past 12 months we’ve carried out a number of NFP presentations on this subject and the feedback we’ve had is that once the process of cyberbullying is exposed and explained, the potential effects are watered down. Knowledge is key to ending this problem. We have resources to download on our site which are suitable for schools and educators: http:///
