Centered in Lubbock , Texas Tech has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management, a Master of Science in Hospitality and Retail Management and a Doctor of Philosophy in Hospitality Administration. Students of the bachelor's degree program can expect to complete an internship in hospitality. Teacher certification coursework is also available in the baccalaureate program. The master's degree program can be completed in a thesis or non-thesis track. Concentration areas for non-thesis students include food and beverage management, event management, hospitality management and retail management. The doctoral program primarily consists of research and teaching courses, but a number of classes cover different types of hospitality management.
