Not taxing someone or fining them is not denying healthcare. There needs to be an affordable option for the young and healthy that they will want to buy. And yes, I think there should be a premium penalty for those that choose not to purchase insurance until they get older and sicker. If it is really insurance you have to pay into the system when you most likely don't need it so it will be there when you do. If you wait until you are old and sick, it is a cost sharing system with an insurance carrier--where you pay a premium and they pay your medical bills. That is not insurance. Think of it the same as car and home and life insurance. High risk=high premium, and low risk = low premium. That is insurance. If that is not factored in we have tax payer subsidized healthcare not health insurance. And maybe that is what they really want until they see the price tag. Google California and state run universal healthcare for an example.
